Tell students they should only give instructions when helping other students - rather than demonstrating with the keyboard and mouse - because showing instead of telling other students can cause a variety of problems.
Call on all students equally to emphasize student equality and avoid creating a competitive environment. This prevents expert students from dominating during class since you’re not validating interruptive, show-offy behavior.
Reassure students struggling with common misconceptions that they’re not alone to bolster their confidence.
