Encourage your students to apply for things that seem out of reach by sharing stories about what you learned from applying for things you didn’t get or that seemed out of reach.
Give students guided notes (i.e., partially-completed notes that students complete) to help them stay engaged and learn from lectures or readings. It may be especially helpful to include vocabulary lists.
Allow students who have trouble handwriting to type up assignments and assessments on word processing tools so they can focus on communicating their understanding of the material.
