Ask students’ permission before intervening by touching their machines to avoid stepping in and interrupting their learning unnecessarily.

  • When helping a student, try getting them to type things before drastically intervening.
    • Interacting with their environment gives students the chance to learn development tools.
    • When students still cannot resolve a problem after a lot of assistance or are stuck such that it gets in the way of their own learning it is time to ask for permission to step in.
