Ask students how they are doing on assignments to keep them accountable and identify unproductive students when necessary.

  • If you have access to iClickers, consider polling your students during class to gauge how far into an assignment they are.

Don't worry about trying to match the modality of your instruction to students' "learning styles" since the importance of learning styles is a myth.
Stretch your students to help them improve their skills by asking them what they are most struggling with and making them do that regularly.
