Use the NJCCCS Technology standards to help scaffold K-6 graders in learning computer literacy skills.

  • The New Jersey Core Curriculum Content Standards (NJCCCS) set expectations for the computer skills that K-6 should have, including, but not limited to:
    • Creating a document
    • Being able to navigate virtual environments (e.g. games)
    • Being able to enter and graph data in a spreadsheet.
  • While these standards are explicitly for New Jersey, they can provide helpful insights for K-6 standards anywhere.
  • Visit the NJCCCS Technology standards website to learn more.
