  • It’s important to help students find challenges that are not too easy, such that minimal new learning happens, or too hard, such that student’s become discouraged by something they aren’t ready for yet.

Give students, especially younger kids, “movement breaks” so that they don’t have to sit still and stare at a computer for too long.
Show the class different ways nations choose their next monarch to illustrate pre-order and level order traversals as students visualize tree traversal methods.
Use group discussion to help students figure out boundary cases for removing duplicate adjacent elements on their own so that they get to discuss a variety of test cases in depth before focusing on the code.
