Emphasize that Scratch is REAL coding; this lets students know that programming in educational languages like Scratch or Python is valuable even though these languages aren’t commonly used in industry.
Motivate students who get discouraged with difficult research tasks by letting them know you believe they can do it and that some tasks are meant to push their boundaries so they can grow.
Suggest students study an hour a night Monday through Friday as opposed to five hours in a row over the weekends, to help your students create good study strategies and prepare them for success in your course.
