When preparing students for industry jobs, create chaos in team projects so they can learn to handle the environment.

  • One way to do this is to pick people out of a bag and move them from one team to another.
    • If the people who are no longer on the team didn’t leave any documentation behind of what they were doing, it is not up to the team to deal with the consequences.
    • This also reinforces how important it is to have effective communication and maintain good documentation throughout the course of a project.
  • This can be very upsetting to students but you have to stand your ground, know students will be grateful for this experience later, and that you are preparing them for their future.
