Allocate the last 15 minutes of class for students to share their work with each other in beginning Scratch classes because students enjoy seeing each others projects and demonstrating their progress.

  • Sharing projects provides a great learning opportunity for students to see how other students code though exposure to other students scripts.
  • This activity provides an opportunity for you to model appropriate feedback, responses, and constructive criticism.
  • You could also use this time to provide the opportunity for students who work at home to share their work during class to encourage students to keep coding.
    • Note from CS Teaching Tips: Be careful not marginalize students who don’t have the resources or ability to continue programming at home.
